PRE-ORDER INFORMATION - Please read!

Due to high demand, I am re-opening Issue 8 for pre-orders having previously sold out very quickly. As a small business, I need a certain amount of pre-orders to go ahead with re-ordering this issue in print. Therefore, pre-orders will be open until the 29th March 2026. If I do not reach the minimum number of pre-orders needed to place a bulk order by this date, you will be refunded. If I am able to go ahead with re-ordering this issue, prints will not be shipped until early April 2026.

If you would like to pre-order this issue, and purchase another print of another issue, please do so separately if you do not want to wait for the already available print to be shipped.

Issue 8 is here! Here's what you'll find inside...

Interviews:

  • The Atwell family perfectly demonstrate what can be built with determination, a little bit of creativity and the desire to create something enriching yet safe for our horses. Elizabeth Atwell of Hollytree Track System uses her platform to openly share the good, the bad and the ugly of their journey, all whilst inspiring other owners to take charge and see what they too can do with their land. Now well known among the our community, Liz shares her family’s journey in building their track and the stories of the very special ponies and horses that made it all worthwhile, past and present.

Guest Articles:

  • Brie Simpson of GROW Horsemanship, previously known as PATH Equestrian, explains her science-backed, horse centric way of introducing horses onto a track system, step by step.
  • Regular writer Alyson Sharpe of PB Paddock Paradise Livery acknowledges her winter struggles but opens up about things she’s grateful for instead, despite it.
  • Sue Dawson of Calm Healthy Horses UK, author behind our ‘Making Mini Tracks Rock’ ongoing series, takes the opportunity to reflect on her own track system set up and asks herself the big question – does it honour the spirit of the paddock paradise?
  • Sacha de Haan owns Shettie Scharreltuin, a shetland-only paddock paradise boarding facility, based in the Netherlands. Sacha touches on how Shettie Scharreltuin came to be, and the importance of caring for small ponies and shetlands to the same standard we do horses.
  • Alexa Linton of Out The Box Equine reveals how we can reuse and recycle different materials for our track systems, and reduce what we consume too, not only helping out our planet but doing it all on a budget as well.
  • Betsy Buchanan walks us through her own paddock paradise set up, explaining her thought process behind her design and adaptions and prioritising her horses’ health and happiness from start to finish.
